



Ink painting on chinese art fascination
Jane Walker trained in Fine Art at the Royal Academy Schools in London and before that at Sheffield Hallam University. Studies in Sheffield were orientated towards ‘Modernism’ students were making large abstract paintings and Jane Walkers were based on Sheffield industrial landscape. In London she studied academic figure drawing and painting. Both of these elements of her training are visible in her work.
As a child she was fascinated by Chinese art and this has resurfaced as an interest in ink painting and the use of space in Chinese Art.
